Meet Our Owner, Ben Boulton

There's one question behind everything we sell: does this ingredient actually need to be in here?

Almost always, the answer was no. Fiona Boulton spent years asking it — of fillers, of binders, of everything the industry adds because it makes manufacturing easier rather than because it makes a product better. What was left after all that stripping away became Powerfully Pure. My name is Ben Boulton, I own the business now, and my job is to keep answering that question the same way she did.

I worked for Powerfully Pure for a long time before I took it over. Years of it — packing orders, learning the products, watching how carefully every decision got made — long before my name was on anything. So I didn't inherit a set of standards from a distance and hope to live up to them. I helped keep them. That's the part I'd want you to know: nothing about how this business works changed hands when it changed owner.

What I've kept, and why

Plenty of wellness brands grow by adding — new lines, new claims, longer ingredient lists, cheaper fillers that nobody reads on the back of the pack. Powerfully Pure grew the other way, and it stays that way under me.

  • Nothing goes in that doesn't need to be there. No fillers, no binders, no flow agents, no synthetic anything for the sake of making manufacturing easier.
  • Organic and food-grade, or it doesn't get listed. Sourcing is the slowest, least glamorous part of this job and the part I'm most careful about.
  • If I wouldn't take it, I won't sell it. Everything in the range is something I use myself.

The person behind the emails

Powerfully Pure is deliberately small. When you email us, you're almost certainly reading a reply written by me — not a support desk, not a script. I pack orders, I chase suppliers, I design the labels, and I answer the awkward questions about whether a product is right for you (and I'll tell you when it isn't).

Outside of the business, natural health and nutrition have been an interest of mine for years — long before any of it was my job. That's really why taking this on made sense. It's the same thing I'd have been reading about anyway.

Purity isn't a marketing word here. It's a subtraction — everything we chose not to put in.

Thank you for supporting a small independent business. It genuinely does not go unnoticed at this end.
